The Hallgarth Manor Hotel and Restaurant lies just over 3 miles from the World Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral and the ancient City of Durham. Situated in the tranquil village of Pittington, it is also only 10 miles from Sunderland and 17 miles from Newcastle. Access from the north or the south is via junction 62 of the A1- and then follows the A690 Sunderland Road and takes the Sherburn/Pittington turn off. Look out for the brown tourism signs.
